A small bug I run into with Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.1 and the new Lightroom 2.5:
Running SL 10.6.1 (32Bit Kernel) and updated to LR 2.5 (running in 64 Bit Mode). Now I have a problem with ‘Edit In’ – In my Case Photoshop CS 4 11.0.1 (Updated Camera Raw to 5.5.0.97) .. The exported TIFF (or PSD – tried both) doesn`t open up in Photoshop CS4 when I have edited some files in Lightroom. If a file is completly -unedited- in LR it open in CS4 as usual, but (don`t know under which special LR editing circumstances) as I have edited colors, exposure, edited gradients etc. I can`t export to CS4 from LR to CS4 as usual with ‘Edit in’.
Looks like a Bug.
I then switched Lightoom 2.5 to run in “32Bit Mode” – that solved all the problem above. I never had a problem with lightroom 2.4 running in 64 Bit Mode before (within SL 10.6.1), but since the upgrade to 2.5 it seams that you have to downswitch LR from 64Bit to 32Bit… no matter if you are running a 32 or 64Bit Kernel under SL 10.6.1…Strange.
Yes, this is a known bug on Snow Leopard when running Lightroom in 64 bit. Adobe is aware of it. Hoping a fix will come.
HOw to get LR 2.5 to run at 64bit in Snow Leopard? Rightclicking with the magic mouse (iMac 27) does not bring up anything…and in the Activity Monitor, it does not indicate that it’s running in 64 bit.
